Clan and Banner Background
The Jasuli clan appears in volume 53 of the Comprehensive Genealogy of Manchu Clans of the Eight Banners. The source uses a variant Chinese character for the first syllable of the surname and identifies Guareca and Baidune as ancestral areas. The present headword retains its original Chinese indexing form while acknowledging that variant. The source distinguishes Keerjida of the Bordered Red Banner from Kadai, whose family returned from Khorchin during the Kangxi period; their entries should not be assigned one submission history.
Family Service and Distinctions
Keerjida submitted during Tiancong. His great-grandson Nalantai served as an acting guard-company officer in Zhejiang and Fujian and later fought at Shimenkan and Huangcaoba in Yunnan, earning yunqiwei. Subsequent service against Galdan increased his hereditary rank to qidu wei. Having no son, Nalantai was succeeded by his younger brother Dingzhu, and thereafter by Dingzhu's son Sange. Succession thus moved through a collateral line, not exclusively from fathers to sons.
Kinship, Succession, and Evidence
An acting command described an appointment to lead guard troops, while yunqiwei and qidu wei were hereditary awards. These concepts must be kept distinct. The source's orthographic variants and the exact location of Guareca require checking against the original printed genealogy.
