Genealogical profile
Bayanxi was a member of the Irgen Gioro clan registered under the Plain Red Banner and associated with the historical Hada region. Volume 14 of the *Comprehensive Genealogy of the Eight Banner Manchu Clans* explicitly leaves the date of the family's submission unknown. It records that Bayanxi formerly served as a *xiaoqixiao*, an officer responsible for aspects of the administration and supervision of Banner soldiers. No other biographical episodes or individual military exploits are given.
His grandson's appointment
The sole named descendant in the short entry is Bayanxi's grandson Sengge, who formerly served as a *hujunxiao*, an officer of the Guard. The distinction matters: the *xiaoqixiao* operated in one Banner military structure, while the *hujunxiao* belonged to a Guard establishment with its own organizational duties. Their appointments do not establish that Sengge inherited his grandfather's exact post. Moreover, the genealogy does not identify Sengge's father, which prevents the intervening paternal link from being specified.
The clan designation refers to a family lineage, while the Plain Red Banner indicates an administrative and military registration; neither should be treated as a synonym for the other. Bayanxi's recorded name is retained as a personal name rather than being given an invented semantic translation based only on its Chinese characters.
Historical limits
The term indicating former officeholding gives no exact appointment or retirement dates. The unknown allegiance date cannot be filled in from neighboring entries describing other families. The precise modern locality corresponding to Hada, Bayanxi's Manchu-language name, his unit and the fuller paternal genealogy await independent verification.
