Overview
According to the appendix to the Irgen Gioro clan in Volume 15 of the *the Comprehensive Genealogy of the Manchu Clans of the Eight Banners*, the branch to which the Suiban belonged was registered as the Plain White Banner, and its ancestral home was in "Changbai Mountain," falling under the category of "Year of Return Unknown." The genealogy records that Sun Bulimu originally held a seventh-rank official position. The kinship hierarchy and statuses such as "former" and "current" are retained as in the original entries. At this stage, the Suiban member's official position, rank, or birth and death date are not inferred from the official positions of descendants. Related institutional terms must be understood according to the Qing Dynasty context: "seventh-rank official" only records the rank and cannot be used to supplement information about the institution, assignment, or year of service. The *Comprehensive Genealogy* only states that Bulimu once held a seventh-rank official position, without specifying the official title or whether it was a civil or military post; therefore, stories of his office, achievements, or military campaigns should not be fabricated.
