Overview
Zhengteke was a member of the Wuzhala clan of the Bordered White Banner during the early Qing Dynasty. Volume 30 of the official Qing Dynasty genealogy, *The Comprehensive Genealogy of the Manchu Clans of the Eight Banners*, records that his family had lived in the Heilongjiang region for generations, and submitted to the Qing during the Tiancong era. Heilongjiang in this entry refers to his ancestral homeland and cannot be directly equated with today's provincial borders; Tiancong was the reign title used by Huang Taiji, belonging to the Later Jin period.
His grandson, Duoluodai, attacked Bazhou with a unappointed position, was the first to scale the city walls, and died in battle. He was posthumously awarded the title of Qiduwei, which was inherited by his nephew, Salai. The term "unappointed" indicates his status within the banner; Qiduwei was a hereditary title, awarded posthumously for meritorious service. Salai was promoted to Second-class Qingche duwei by imperial decree, and died in battle during the battles in Hunan and Dongting Lake. His son, Ayana, inherited the title, and was posthumously promoted to First-class Qingche duwei in recognition of his father's military achievements.
Subsequent succession passed to relatives such as Piantu and Fulhe. When Fulhe inherited the title, the imperial decree and subsequent military achievements were removed, but the Qiduwei title was retained. Multiple awards, posthumous commendations, and reductions involved different sources of rewards, so the highest family rank cannot be attributed to Zhengteke. Specific ancestral home, war years, and collateral succession chains require verification.
