Overview

The Lengbulqin clan is a Manchu surname listed in Volume 60 of the official genealogy of the Manchu clans of the Eight Banners, compiled during the Qianlong reign. They were originally from the Solon region. Humaldai of the Plain White Banner submitted to the Qing dynasty during the Chongde era and served as a First-Class Imperial Guard. This entry records his personal position, unlike shorter clan entries that only list the officials held by their sons and grandsons. Therefore, his position as First-Class Imperial Guard cannot be interpreted as a position held by an unrecorded descendant.

Chongde was the reign title used by Huang Taiji after he changed the dynasty name to Qing in 1636, lasting until 1643, between the Later Jin's change of name to Qing and the Qing army's entry into the Central Plains. This explains the political period in which Humaldai submitted, but the specific year is not recorded.

First-Class Imperial Guards belonged to the emperor's close guard, personal attendants, and retinue system. It was a rank of imperial guard, different from the First-Class Guards in princely residences, and not a title conferred by the imperial clan. The Plain White Banner indicates their affiliation within the Eight Banners; the Solon mentioned in the genealogy refers to their historical ancestral home, and this term alone cannot be used to determine clan classification or infer specific villages. This article does not provide information on term of office, military achievements, or lineage of descendants. The Manchu surname, the specific location of the Solon, and the service records of the guards are still pending verification. It is not combined with people with the same name based on pronunciation.
