Clan and Banner Background

The Yougeli clan is recorded in volume 61 of the Comprehensive Genealogy of Manchu Clans of the Eight Banners, with Yehe as its ancestral region. Wubatai of the Bordered White Banner was registered as booi and submitted early. He served as an administrator of the booi establishment. His son Piaodai held an eighth-grade office; grandsons Seke and Heyatu respectively served as pasture supervisor and guard-company officer; a great-grandson, Bashiyi, held another eighth-grade position. The structured master record supplements an earlier index-only entry with this family evidence.

Family Service and Distinctions

A booi administrator supervised personnel in a particular household establishment, while a pasture manager dealt with livestock and a guard-company officer with soldiers and their service. The genealogy gives only a grade for Piaodai and Bashiyi, not the precise names of their offices; neither should be invented. The appointments of sons, grandsons, and great-grandsons cannot be placed in Wubatai's personal career.

Kinship, Succession, and Evidence

Booi was a banner-household affiliation that could coexist with various official or service appointments; it was not simply one domestic occupation. The Yehe region supplies a geographical lead but no verified modern village or etymology. The relevant household organization and appointment dates remain to be established by other records.
