Overview
Ordo was a member of the Ningguta clan of the Plain Yellow Banner. Volume 41 of the official Qing dynasty compilation, *the Comprehensive Genealogy of the Manchu Clans of the Eight Banners*, records that his family had lived in the Hurha region for generations and submitted to the Qing dynasty at its beginning. Here, Ordo is a personal name and cannot be simply changed to the place name Ordos based on a similar pronunciation; Hurha is the ancestral home explicitly recorded in this entry.
His grandson, Feiyazhu, served in the campaign as a non-official, becoming the second to scale the city walls of Xiajin and earning the title of Yunqiwei (Yunqiwei). He later died in battle at Dongchangfu and was posthumously awarded the title of Qiduwei (Qiduwei). He had no heir, so his brother, Hunzhu, inherited the title and was further granted the title of Second-Class Qingcheduwei (Qiduwei) by imperial decree. "Non-official" refers to a state of service, while Yunqiwei, Qiduwei, and Qingcheduwei were hereditary titles. The posthumous titles and those granted during one's lifetime should be explained separately.
These hereditary titles later passed to relatives such as Sanchula, Erse, and Sangge. When Erse inherited the title, the portion granted by imperial decree was deducted, but the Qiduwei title was retained. The genealogy also records that Sun Zha'erhu served as a cavalry commander, his great-grandson Shu Shune as an infantry commander, and his great-great-grandson Ge'erse as a scribe, all belonging to different descendants' actual positions. The dates of the battles at Hurhadi, Xiajin, and Dongchang, the complete succession relationships, and the positions held by each government office await verification from the original engravings and archives.
