Overview
Korjida, also known as Korjida, appears in Volume 53 of the *Comprehensive Genealogy of Manchu Clans of the Eight Banners* under the entry for the Zhasuri clan. Belonging to the Bordered Red Banner, they were originally from Guarcha and submitted to the Qing dynasty during the Tiancong era. Tiancong was the reign title used by Huang Taiji during the Later Jin period. Zhasuri was a Manchu clan; the original text also records that some members of the clan lived in Baidune.
His grandson, Haita, served as a military officer; his great-grandson, Baljitu, served as a defense officer; another great-grandson, Nalantai, was appointed acting military officer and campaigned in Zhejiang and Fujian, later participating in battles in Shimenkan and Huangcaoba in Yunnan, earning the rank of Yunqiwei. Nalantai later campaigned against Galdan, again earning the rank of Qiduwei for his military achievements. He died without an heir, and his younger brother, Dingzhu, inherited the title, which was then inherited by Dingzhu's son, Sange.
"Acting" indicates a provisional position and cannot be directly translated into a formally appointed military officer. Defense officer and military officer were actual military ranks, while Qiduwei and Yunqiwei were different levels of hereditary titles; promotion in hereditary title did not equate to promotion within the same military unit. The ancestral home of Guarcha, the ancestral allegiance of the ancestors, and the war fought by the great-grandson are respectively related to location, era, and personal experience, and cannot be combined into Korgidar's own military achievements. The modern location of Guarcha and the dates of each battle are yet to be verified.
