Overview

Iden'e (originally written as "YiDengE") is recorded in Volume 59 of the *Comprehensive Genealogy of the Manchu Clans of the Eight Banners*. The original text states that he belonged to the Bordered Yellow Banner and surrendered during the Tiancong era. This entry does not record Iden'e's personal military positions; its content mainly focuses on the official positions held by several generations of his descendants in the banner garrisons, border defense, and palace guards.

His son, Daiha, served as a Qiduwei. His great-grandson, Changbao, also served as a Qiduwei; his great-great-grandson, Antai, served as a defense officer when the genealogy was compiled. His fourth-generation descendant, Liangbao, served as a first-class imperial bodyguard; Tantai served as a Qiduwei when the genealogy was compiled; and his fifth-generation descendant, Fuming'a, served as a third-class imperial bodyguard. First-class and third-class imperial bodyguards were different ranks, and defense was different from Qiduwei; it is inappropriate to combine these positions into a single person's complete career path.

The original text does not provide a continuous list of grandchildren, nor does it indicate which grandfather or father each fourth-generation descendant descended from; therefore, missing generations cannot be filled in independently. The Tiancong period can be considered as the timeframe for his submission, but it is insufficient to determine whether Yiden'e participated in a specific battle or migrated in a particular year. His verifiable facts are still limited to his banner affiliation and the period of submission; the appointment of his descendants should be explained independently.
