What is known about Aduqi Aduqi was a Guwalgiya clansman registered under the Bordered Blue Banner. Volume 4 of the *Comprehensive Genealogy of the Eight Banner Manchu Clans* explicitly states that both the ancestral residence and year of the family's submission were unknown. Aduqi served as *fangyu*, an officer associated with Banner defense, garrison administration and military duties. The missing origin cannot be supplied from nearby entries describing other Guwalgiya households.

Sons and a grandson killed in battle His son Juehetuo served as *zhushi*, a civil administrative secretary; another son, Pengtu, was a *bitieshi*, a clerk concerned with official records, copying and translation. The two posts represented different aspects of government administration. Aduqi's grandson Yuanbao served as *qianfengxiao*, an officer in the Vanguard, and died during the campaign against the Dzungars at Hetong Huerhanao'er. Vanguard service involved advance military duties, distinct from the father's defensive office and the sons' clerical positions.

Posthumous inheritance and limits Yuanbao received the posthumous hereditary rank *yunqiwei*. Because he had no son, it passed to the son of his brother, Suling'a. Such collateral succession to an award did not confer Yuanbao's Vanguard post automatically. The wider lineage included company, Guard and cavalry officers, but their precise genealogical links are incomplete. Aduqi's own reliable profile remains his clan, Banner affiliation and *fangyu* appointment; residence and allegiance date remain unknown.
