Family and historical context Jindarhan was a member of the Guwalgiya clan registered in the Plain Red Banner, with ancestral ties to Yehe. Volume 3 of the *Comprehensive Genealogy of the Eight Banner Manchu Clans* specifically states that the family's year of submission was unknown. It does not establish Jindarhan's own official appointment. Shared residence in the Yehe region is not grounds to change the family's clan from Guwalgiya to Nara.

Service of his son Jindarhan's son Sigeshe fought forces associated with Wu Sangui while temporarily acting as a *hujunxiao*, a junior officer in the Banner Guard. The qualifier indicating temporary or commissioned service matters; the office should not be reported as an unqualified permanent appointment. For military merit Sigeshe received *yunqiwei*. He also served as *zuoling*, the officer responsible for a Banner company and its registered soldiers and households. The hereditary distinction and the substantive company command belonged to different institutional systems.

Succession and evidentiary limits Following Sigeshe's death, the *yunqiwei* dignity passed to his son Heyinbu. Inheriting that award did not mean inheriting the father's office as company commander. The genealogy does not establish whether the company itself was a hereditary family appointment. Nor does the sound of Jindarhan's Chinese transcription prove adoption of the surname Jin. The precise battlefield, Jindarhan's personal career, submission date and modern residence remain open for original-record verification.
