Early clan background
Feidali was an early Qing member of the Irgen Gioro clan of the Bordered White Banner whose family was associated with Macha. The household joined the Manchu polity in its formative period. Although volume 15 of the *Comprehensive Genealogy of the Eight Banner Manchu Clans* does not name an office held by Feidali himself, it lists several prominent descendants engaged in military, supervisory, fiscal and administrative service.
Offices recorded among descendants
Among his grandsons, Xifo formerly served as a *bujunxiao*, an officer of the infantry establishment; Dalihu as a censor; Alihu as vice minister of the Shengjing Board of Punishments; and Subahai as a *siwu*, a clerical administrator concerned with the handling of official business. The offices belong to separate administrative spheres rather than a single professional rank.
Feidali's great-grandson Axinai formerly served as vice minister of the Board of Punishments, while Defu served as vice minister of the Shengjing Board of Rites. The difference between Beijing-based central institutions and their Shengjing counterparts must be preserved. Other relatives held positions such as *langzhong*, *yuanwailang*, *siku* and *bitieshi*, without departments specified in every case. A later descendant, Zhaoyi, was a *shucheng* in an unidentified office; the institution should not be invented.
Educational statuses and caution
The family record also includes *shengyuan* and *yinsheng* qualifications. Such designations referred to educational or examination status, not necessarily appointments. A noted clan link with Wangzhu of Macha does not establish a close relationship or authorize the merging of unrelated men with similar names. Exact pedigree, office dates and Macha's historical location await primary-source verification.
