Overview

The genealogy book places Amuqing'a under the heading "Duli Clan"; here, Amuqing'a remains the main entry, and the surname heading only indicates the family arrangement in the genealogy book and cannot replace the person's name. According to the original entry, Amuqing'a was a member of the Plain White Banner and lived in Macha. The Vanguard Officer was a low-ranking military officer in the Eight Banners Vanguard Battalion, participating in the training and camp affairs of their assigned vanguard; official titles cannot replace personal combat achievements. The genealogy subsequently preserves the chain of relatives and positions: his great-grandson, Sulengtai, originally served as a Vanguard Officer. The original entry only states "Plain White Banner member," without mentioning bondservants or Han soldiers. "Macha area" preserves important clues about the ancestral home, but currently lacks sufficient place name evidence to confirm its modern location; therefore, the original name should be maintained and marked as pending further investigation.
